BE! Nice. Doesn’t cost a thing.

I’m here wearing one of my favorite Say It Loud shirts, “BE! Nice, cause mean people suck”. I like the shirt because this is what I’d like to say to some people. But, then again that would be mean, or would it? I know it sounds contradictory and sarcastic but that was the point, to get your attention. And,  I think it worked. The one investment that we can make that’s going to have a greater return is being nice. I know, no one wants to get taken advantage of, and it seems that we are always in hyper protect mode. We want to protect our feelings at the expense of someone else’s. come on really? I’d rather just be nice, respectful and kind. It seems to take a lot more effort to build a wall than to bring it down and the view is much better. I’m just saying, BE! Nice.

Dare2Pray

Real talk. Given the current climate of the political, social and emotional distress or unrest (you choose your flavor). It seems we find ourselves in a quagmire of uncertainty, fear and anger. This perfect storm of emotive disarray doesn’t seem to motivate many to look for answers or solution. We continue to assign blame so we don’t have to take responsibility for our action, or dare I say it inaction. At some point, we have get past ourselves and our own hurt feelings and look to be a bridge instead of an island. Dare we ask ourselves, how can I lift someone else up instead of tear them down? Am I willing to have the name of my “enemy” come across my lips in prayer for them instead of against them? Do they need God’s help? Do I want God to help them or crush them? Do I dare thank God for them? Hmmm… something to think about. Read all the verses. Selah.

Today

QuickHit: TODAY is a gift given, a gift to be treasured and shared. There is no return receipt on TODAY. Lets face it,  TODAY  is all that we have. No one has the power to guarantee tomorrow. In spite of all man’s technological advances we are still unable to live in yesterday or tomorrow. TODAY the G.I.F.T. (God’s Immediate Free Treasure) is here. How will you use it? Will you choose to use this G.I.F.T. as an opportunity to better yourself so that you may be a blessing instead of a burden?  Will you choose to give thanks  for it and seize the opportunity to help someone else? Will you choose to share it with the ones you love? Whatever you choose to do with it is up to you, just don’t let it go to waste. You only get one TODAY.
